S5 Agency World Delighted to Meet MOT at Seatrade Cruise Miami

At the recent event Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami, one of the most significant events with a vibrant international cruise community, S5 Agency World had the pleasure to meet with the Minister of Transport, Y.B. Anthony Loke and representatives from the Ministry of Transport Malaysia (MOT) as well as the Chairman and CEO of Port Klang Cruise Terminal and CEO of Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal.

The MOT was present at the event to promote cruise business opportunities in Malaysia together with the country’s three key cruise terminals in Penang, Langkawi, and Port Klang which had jointly set up a booth at Seatrade to showcase the terminals facilities and capabilities.

S5 Agency World had the pleasure of meeting with the Minister of Transport, Y.B. Anthony Loke and representatives from the Ministry Of Transport Malaysia and Chairman and CEO of Port Klang Cruise Terminal and CEO of Swettenhan Pier Cruise Terminal, and operator of Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal. 

Providing leading cruise services in Malaysia, S5 Agency World has had a close working relationship with the ports, the port authorities and the MOT. The meeting at Seatrade Cruise Miami provided an excellent opportunity for both parties to discuss plans and strategies to expand and promote more cruise lines to Malaysia.

During the discussions, the MOT and the cruise terminals highlighted the many aspects and initiatives being offered to cruise lines and operators to encourage them to call at Malaysian ports in their itineraries. The representatives also shared updates on the ongoing facilities developments at the three key ports to cater to the growing demand for cruise tourism in the region. 

We would like to seize this opportunity to express our gratitude for the for the honour of being invited as a distinguished guest by Malaysia’s ports, reflecting our valued partnership.

The conversations were lively, with both sides contributing unique perspectives  from the Minister of Transport Malaysia, Y.B. Anthony Loke; Secretary General of MOT, Dato Jana; Chairmans of PKCT, Dato’ Azman and CEO of SPCT, Dato’ Sasedharan, Jason Berman (S5 Agency CCO) and Grace Lee (S5 Malaysia Country Manager)

With our experience and deep understanding of the cruise operators needs, combined with the valuable insights from the MOT and cruise terminals representatives, both parties shared their own understanding and opinions on the needs and preferences of cruise lines and passengers, as well as the challenges and opportunities in the Malaysian cruise industry.
