Ship Management company Nordic Hamburg and Global Port Agency S5 lead the way with enhanced data flow integration
Nordic Hamburg and S5 have been long-term partners and look to continue their fruitful business relationship. The partnership has been built on two forward thinking companies who have been working together on system integrations as part of a continued automation project.
The partnership has included much more than only local port agency, it has been built on sophisticated systems integration with Nordic Hamburg’s IT application systems. This integration covers all aspects of the operations and financial process including nomination, PO creation, funding, coding of invoices, archiving of line-item invoice images and reconciliations.
Nordic Hamburg and S5 have jointly been working on gradual data integration improvements over many years to reach the current sophisticated level. Prior to the start of the integration, all nominations, PO creations and invoices were handled manually with multiple approvals and workflows and in multiple systems. After completing this integration, we have a single system for all activities and approvals and all invoices flow through already coded with the correct GL codes. We can easily set approval access and setup automatic approvals if within given parameters. This saves us a huge amount of time with the approvals themselves as well as fund request, approval flows and month accruals.
